Opal Bracelet For The October Birthstone Gal
We’re looking at a lovely opal bracelet today. If your birthday is in October then you deserve this gorgeous tennis bracelet.

This 18K Gold Over Sterling Silver Created Fiery White Opal & Genuine Diamond Tennis Bracelet impresses me on several counts.
Price! This opal bracelet is wa—-ay cheaper than most opal bracelets you will have looked at. Yet it still looks classy.
It has a number of very positive reviews. Other ladies have bought this piece and been impressed. One lady wrote “This is an absolutely beautiful piece of jewelry. The opals are simulated but look REAL. I have been complimented several times, even by my jeweler! Very well made. Good clasp. Easily worth the money it cost.”
Okay- on to the finer points. The opal is “created” so it was not dug out of the ground. But a lab created opal is identical to a mined one in chemical composition and physical properties. They just cost a whole lot less! Now you tell me – is that a major crime?
The diamonds are real and the metal is 18 karat gold over silver. This process of gold over silver is called vermeil. Don’t use polishing cloths or most jewelry cleaners on it as with enough rubbing the gold layer could wear off. Treat it gently and you can hand it down to your daughter.
A little tip with vermeil jewelry is to put anti-tarnishing squares in your jewelry draw which will guard against tarnishing.
And if you’re curious about why this style of bracelet is called a tennis bracelet, the name refers to any bracelets featuring an inline of diamonds. The name seems to have come about after Chris Evert wore a similar one during a match in 1987. The clasp snapped and Chris asked the officials to stop the match until the jewelry could be found.
This is a lovely opal tennis bracelet at a very sensible price.
