They do say that Divya Diamond jewelry is made with royal jewels from India. Mmmm! Not sure about that.

Garnet Heart Bracelet
If you’d love a garnet heart bracelet but are worried it might be too expensive for your post-christmas/NewYear sales budget – think again. There are some lovely bracelets at a very reasonable price.

The birthstone for January is the garnet – on both the Modern and Traditional List.
Although we think of the garnet as always being red in color and much of the symbolism of the January birthstone comes from this color. It can also be found in a multitude of other colors – yellow, orange, green, purple, black, brown and colorless.
The garnet birthstone stands for purity, truth, faithfulness and friendship.

Turquoise Necklaces and Pendants

I love the look of this white turquoise pendant. The chain compliments the look of the turquoise so well. Unfortunately not a lot of information is given about the materials used other than that the birthstone used is a turquoise.

Turquoise Necklace – Green Or Blue, Take Your Pick
Is a turquoise necklace just the thing you need to complete a certain look?

What interests me with this first necklace is that a reviewer comments on it being green turquoise. The images do not always show the color of birthstone jewelry as realistically as you would hope but it does seem as if this interesting natural looking turquoise nugget chip necklace is more green colored than blue.
As most of the turquoise jewelry that you see is blue this makes for a unique look. It is possible to buy a matching bracelet and earrings to compliment this necklace.
You’ll see that several of these December birthstone necklaces are described as torsade. This simply means several strands twisted together.
This is a lovely 10 strand torsade necklace and it comes with a 4 inch extender chain if the 17 inch length is not sufficient. Notice the unusual silver cones at the clasp ends. The turquoise is blue with this item.

Although this necklace says ‘genuine’ turquoise do be aware that it is made from reconstituted turquoise. So yes it is genuine but the stones also contain resins and dyes to get the look that the designer wants. There is no problem at all with that so long as you are aware of the fact.
