Diamond Cat Pendant – Divine!
This diamond cat pendant is a beautiful gift whether to yourself or to that number one woman in your life.
14k Rose Gold Diamond Cat Pendant
This captivating kitty contains 65 round diamonds – and yes, you did read that right. 65 diamonds!!
Sixty five prong set diamonds are set in 14 karat rose gold to outline the cat’s head, body, and curved tail. With rose gold colored whiskers and collar this diamond cat pendant is utterly irresistible.
Rose gold is also called pink gold or red gold – they are all names for the same thing. The rose color will get stronger as the charm ages.
Normally 14 karat gold is made by combining “pure” gold with other alloys – usually silver. When rose gold is made they decrease the amount of silver and add copper to make the delicious warm rose color. 14K rose gold contains exactly the same amount of gold as ordinary 14k gold.
Diamonds are color graded from D which is colorless (that’s good) out to Z which is a light yellow. These diamonds are graded at J which is in the desirable band of almost colorless.
A number or the reviews on amazon comment on how much it sparkles so that although the Clarity rating of the diamonds is I2, it obviously does not impact on the reflection of light from this gorgeous kitty pendant.
The diamond is the birthstone for April.
Is a diamond cat a white cat? I guess it is!
- In folklore, to dream about a white cat is believed to bring luck
- And to pass a white cat on the road is a symbol of good luck
- In the US, if a white cat crosses your path it means good luck will come to you – in Britain it is the other way round!
But really, do you need any more reasons to treat yourself this gorgeous Diamond Cat Pendant!

Ruby Pendant Necklace – Yummy Cherry Pendant!
I’ve discovered a Ruby birthstone pendant that looks good enough to eat!
This is a cherry pendant, or should I say cherries, because there are two fabulous fruits in deep dark ruby red with an emerald leaf.
It is made from 14 karat yellow gold and contains 3 birthstones, 2 rubies and an emerald, so is suitable not only for ladies with their birthday in July but also for you gals with a May birthday.
14k Yellow Gold Lab-Created Ruby and Emerald Cherries Pendant
This is the ideal birthstone pendant for July, and it is also the gemstone for 15th and 40th anniversaries.
This is one of the loveliest pendants I’ve come across recently. I love how the cherries sit on their gold stems!
The rubies are lab created which means they are genuine rubies. People sometimes mistakenly believe that a lab created ruby is not the real deal.
It is!
The two rubies in this cherry pendant have exactly the same chemical and physical properties as a gem mined from mother earth. The difference is you know that there has been no exploitation of workers in some third world country to get these ruby birthstones.
Today, many women with a conscience are only buying lab created gems for this very reason. You can wear this ruby pendant with a completely clear conscience.
The gleaming Ruby should adorn,
All those who in July are born,
For thus they’ll be exempt and free,
From lover’s doubts and anxiety.
How big is it?
That’s the 64 dollar question, isn’t it!
How often have we ladies bought an item of jewelry and then been disappointed that it wasn’t the same size as in the picture. Remember the image is so that you can see all the fine detail of this gorgeous ruby pendant.
The cherry and leaf charm part is 14 mm high. This is equivalent to 0.55 inches so it is a little over half an inch in height. A US quarter is 1 inch in height so that gives you a comparison to go by. Your cherry pendant will be about half the size of a US quarter.
Remember jewelry is almost never the size it is pictured at.
The ruby is a very hard gem – second only to diamonds in hardness – so is very suitable for jewelry that you want to wear all the time – which is what you will want to do with this piece!
Color, color, color!
The ruby is a red corundrum whereas any other color of corundrum is called a sapphire. Color can range from pinkish, purplish, orangey and brownish red depending on the percentages of the different minerals in the gem.

So it is completely normal for there to be a variations in color. In fact, experts can often identify where in the world a particular ruby has come from just by its color with Burmese stone tending to purplish red colors and Thai stone being more brownish red.
Rubies also vary in color depending on what angle you view them. This variability of color has some interesting associations.
Beliefs associated with the ruby
The ruby is believed to protect you from misfortune and ill-health. Historically, there have been rubies that reputedly changed color to warn their owner of impending misfortune.
It is said that Queen Catherine of Aragon had just such a ruby. As she was the first wife of King Henry the 8th you can’t help but wonder if it told her how she would be cast aside when she failed to deliver him a son. She was not beheaded which is what happened to many of his wives so perhaps by warning her in advance her ruby allowed her to stay “one step ahead” of her savage King.
This believe in the protecting power of the ruby continues in countries such as India where the ruby is believed to guard the wearer. And once again that warning comes through a change in color.
So whatever color your ruby pendant is, cherish it, get to know it, watch it. It is your friend!
In other countries the believes surrounding the ruby change more from one of protection to attracting friends and good luck.
In China and Japan ruby jewelry is worn to bring long life, happiness and health.
The ruby is said to symbolize success, devotion and integrity.

It is also the symbol of passion and a promise of the heart. This is why the ruby appears as an accent stone in engagement rings more often than any other colored gem. It is also believed to bring reconciliation to lover’s quarrels.
The one negative about this ruby pendant is that there is no guide to the color. The J rating that Amazon gives is for diamonds and not relevant to gemstones. However, with what I know about the color of rubies that does not worry me at all. All colors are lovely.
This ruby cherry pendant is made from 14 k yellow gold so is great value at well under $200. The total weight of the 3 gems is 2 grams. The rubies are in a 4 prong setting which is one of the most secure settings for jewelry.
It has a 14 karat rope chain which consists of oval links that are joined so that they produce a woven rope effect. My experience of buying jewelry from Amazon is that often the chain feels too light for the charm or pendant and I often use one of my own chains instead.
The fastening is a spring ring clasp so you can party all night knowing that the fastening is secure!
It comes in a regal blue suede cloth box so is very suitable for a birthday or Christmas present or a mothers day gift.
There are many famous rubies such as the Delong Star (100.32 carats ), Hixon Ruby Crystal (196.10 carat), Midnight Star (116.75 carat) and the Mogok Ruby, much smaller than the others at 15.97 carat but was so perfect that it sold in 1988 for $3,630,000.
Luckily for you, this fabulous 14k Yellow Gold Lab-Created Ruby and Emerald Cherries Pendant will not cost anything like that!

Birthstone For January
The birthstone for January is the garnet – on both the Modern and Traditional List.
Although we think of the garnet as always being red in color and much of the symbolism of the January birthstone comes from this color. It can also be found in a multitude of other colors – yellow, orange, green, purple, black, brown and colorless.
The garnet birthstone stands for purity, truth, faithfulness and friendship.
There is a wonderful range of garnet jewelry.

Emerald Rings – May Birthstone
Emerald rings are perfect for women with a birthday in May as they are the May birthstone.
This Claddagh ring will proclaim your Irish heritage to the world. As if you need a reason.
Diamond And Emerald Claddagh Ring Irish Jewelry
The symbolism behind the Claddagh ring means Let Love and Friendship Reign Forever so it is the ring for both friends and lovers. This ring is handcrafted in solid 10K gold with 2 genuine emerald birthstones in the crown and 5 diamonds completing the setting.
There are customs to consider when deciding upon which finger to wear a claddagh ring.
“The meaning and significance of the Claddagh ring is not just in the crown, heart and clasping hands, it also extends to the hand on which the ring is worn and the direction in which the crown on the ring points. In case of a married or engaged person Claddagh rings are worn on the left hand with the crown pointing away from the (the person wearing the ring) heart. For a person willing to consider love the ring is traditionally worn on the right hand with the crown pointing away from the heart. For a person not interested in starting a relationship the Cladagh ring is worn on the right hand with the crown pointing towards the heart.”
From Claddagh History
This is a rare oval shaped emerald surrounded by 20 genuine diamonds. Handcrafted in 10K white gold, ten sparkling diamonds are showcased around the magnificent center stone with a set of five decorating each side of the band.
Women’s Diamond And Emerald Ring
Now they do say that the emerald is thought to give its owner the gifts of eloquence, intelligence, harmony, love and joy so either of these emerald rings would make a meaningful and romantic jewelry gift for her.
